Longmont Branch

Classes at the Longmont branch of Aikido Shugenkai are taught by Paula Lydon. She currently holds a Menkyo Shoden teaching license.  We are based in Longmont, Colorado and we serve the communities of Longmont, Niwot, Erie, Firestone, Berthoud, Boulder, Loveland, and surrounding areas.

Aikido is a non-violent Japanese Budo, or martial way, which enriches the life of the participant by providing tools for coping with daily challenges.  It is a wonderful discipline which many people worldwide have found to be extremely beneficial.  Beyond being an effective system of self defense, Aikido helps develop skills in stress management, conflict resolution, and increasing the amount of peace in one's life.

Classes are offered through the City of Longmont's Recreation Department and classes are held at the St. Vrain. You must call the city to sign up for classes or come down to the Memorial Building to visit, watch or register for class.

Aikido for Adults (Longmont)

Aikido is a non-violent martial budo of Japanese origin: students learn to harmonize with the energy of partners, not opponents, and redirect and control that energy without resorting to fighting. Aikido Shugenkai training is non-competitive and fosters a cooperative and supportive attitude. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Classes are ongoing and students may join at any time.

Classes are offered through the City of Longmont's Recreation Department and classes are held at the St. Vrain. You must call the city to sign up for classes or come down to the Memorial Building to visit, watch or register for class.
